Corning Laser Technologies offers 3D laser glass cutting technologies with distinct advantages over conventional processes
With our patented nanoPerforation process we perforate and separate 3D-shaped substrates for multiple applications. Using ultrashort pulse lasers, our process cuts glass through localized material modification rather than material ablation which generates dust and debris.
With our specially developed, fast and highly precise 5-axis beam delivery system we ensure that the incident laser beam remains always perpendicular to the surface of the glass. This results in superior performance in precision, quality and speed, comparable to our 2D glass cutting. Even with tolerances in the 3D shaped substrate - thanks to the integrated advanced 3D measurement technology and cutting path correction.
The benefit of a clean laser process means that the CLT63D needs no fluids or other process consumables. There is also no tool wear, and this helps to deliver consistently high accuracy and yield and a low total cost of ownership.
