Employee Vibrant Community Grants

The Employee Vibrant Community Grants program empowers employees to nominate deserving nonprofit organizations that mean the most to them.

Program highlights

  • Active part-time and full-time U.S. Corning employees may nominate an eligible nonprofit organization to receive a $1,000 grant.
  • The first 50 eligible requests received will be granted. Organizations may receive only one Employee Vibrant Community Grant per year, and employees may only nominate one organization. Organizations cannot receive the grant two years in a row.
  • Nominations are accepted first business day in January and winning grants will be announced in March.
  • Nonprofits must be physically located within approximately a 20-mile radius of a U.S. Corning business location with at least 50 Corning employees unless you are a remote employee.
  • Nominate a nonprofit: Write a 250-word or less essay describing how the organization contributes to the vibrancy of a Corning community. We consider a community to be vibrant when its citizens are engaged, its businesses thriving, its education opportunities robust, and its cultural outlets plentiful. Application must include:
    • Your contact information, including employee number and email
    • Full name, address, website, and email contact for the eligible nonprofit you’re nominating
    • The eligible nonprofit organization’s Employee Identification Number (available at guidestar.org)
    • The eligible nonprofit organization’s mission statement and description of services and primary activities

Organizations must be a 501(c)(3) or 509(a) public charity. All applicants must comply with Corning Incorporated’s non-discrimination statement*. Religious, political and membership groups are not eligible.
